Aosta all year round

Aosta is so beautiful it’s worth a visit a city any time of the year: it really is a town for all seasons, and is never a disappointment. Splendid in spring and summer, when it’s a pleasure to stroll through the sunny streets of the centre admiring the town’s artistic heritage; in autumn, it’s a triumph of colour, and the combination of art and nature is at its finest while the weather remains pleasantly mild. In winter, you’ll feel the snow crunching under your feet, on the snowy mountaintops, as you ski nearby in Pila, marvel at the twinkling lights of Christmas, and then at the ancient Sant’Orso fair, as you enjoy a piping-hot plate of polenta, accompanied by a fine glass of genuine, “heroic” local DOC-label wine.
